IGET Not Working: What to Check, Symptom by Symptom
Most IGETs that will not work are not broken. A new one that gives nothing usually still has the silicone plug in the mouthpiece or the sticker on the base. A Bar Plus that does nothing usually has a pod that is not seated or a base that needs charging. A sealed device that stops mid-life with a flashing light has generally reached the end rather than failed.

A Brand New IGET That Will Not Draw
This is the most common fault report and it is almost never a fault. New devices ship with a silicone plug pushed into the mouthpiece and a sticker sealing the airway at the base. With either still fitted you get no airflow and no activation.
Pull the plug out of the mouthpiece, peel the sticker off the bottom, and draw again. If it now works, nothing was ever wrong. If it still gives nothing on a device you have just bought, the returns policy covers it.
An IGET With a Light but No Vapour
A light that responds to your draw means the sensor and the battery are both alive, so the problem is between the coil and your mouth. Condensed liquid in the mouthpiece is the usual culprit: tap the device mouthpiece down onto a tissue and try again.
If the light responds and vapour still does not come, the liquid has run out. On a sealed model that is the end of the device. On a Bar Plus it is the end of the pod, and a fresh one puts you back in business.
Why Your IGET Bar Plus Is Not Working
The Bar Plus has two failure points a sealed device does not: the pod connection and the base charge. Nine times in ten a Bar Plus that does nothing has a pod pushed on short of the click, or a protective film still sitting over the contacts of a brand new pod.
Pull the pod off, check the contacts are clean and film free, and press it back on until it seats properly. Then put the base on USB-C for a few minutes. There is no lock, no reset sequence and no button combination to learn, despite what the search suggestions imply.
An IGET That Hisses or Gurgles
Hissing is liquid sitting where air should be. It happens after a device has been carried mouthpiece down, shaken, or left somewhere warm, and it usually clears itself.
Hold the device mouthpiece down over a tissue and tap it firmly a few times, then take two or three gentle draws rather than one hard one. Hard pulls on a gurgling device drag more liquid into the airway and make it worse.
An IGET That Leaks
Leaks come from pressure and heat rather than a hole. A device left in a hot car or a sunny window expands its air pocket and pushes liquid out through the airway.
Wipe the outside and the mouthpiece, stand it upright for ten minutes, and keep it out of direct heat. A device that keeps leaking after that, or leaks straight out of a sealed box, is worth returning rather than persevering with.
An IGET That Fires on Its Own
Auto-firing means the draw sensor is stuck closed, usually from liquid in the sensor housing. It is the one symptom on this page where the answer is not to keep trying: a device that heats without being drawn on is a battery risk.
Take it out of your pocket or bag, let it cool somewhere safe and hard-surfaced, and do not use it again. Return it rather than trying to dry it out.
A Draw That Has Gone Tight
A draw that suddenly feels restricted usually means the airway has partly blocked with condensed liquid or lint from a pocket. Clearing the mouthpiece fixes most of it.
On the Bar Pro and the One, check the airflow ring as well: it is easy to knock closed without noticing, and a closed ring feels exactly like a blockage.
When an IGET Is Not Broken, Just Finished
A sealed IGET that flashes on every draw and gives nothing has reached the end of its battery, and on these models the battery is not meant to outlive the liquid. There is no port to plug in and no way to revive it, as the charging guide sets out.
The way to avoid the surprise is to reorder before the flavour starts fading rather than after the device quits. Every model in the range shows its rated life on the listing.
