Why Does My IGET Taste Burnt, and Can It Be Fixed?
A burnt taste means the wick is firing dry. On a new device, stand it upright for a few minutes so the cotton soaks. Mid-life, it is usually chain vaping, long draws or heat. Near the end, burnt plus a weak draw means the liquid is gone. Once cotton is properly charred it does not come back, so the real answer is prevention rather than repair.

What a Dry Hit Actually Is
The coil in every IGET sits in cotton that feeds it liquid. Fire the coil while the cotton next to it is dry and you scorch cotton instead of vaporising liquid. That scorched note is the burnt hit, and it is the same mechanism on every model in the range.
The important part is that charring is permanent. Cotton that has burned does not un-burn when the liquid comes back, which is why the aim is to stop at the first bad puff rather than push through it.
A Brand New IGET That Tastes Burnt
Sometimes a device has been stored or shipped on its side and the cotton nearest the coil has drained. Stand it upright for five minutes and take two gentle draws rather than one hard one. Most new-device burnt taste disappears at that point.
If it burns on every puff from the first one, that is a different story. Check the verification code using the counterfeit guide, and return it if it fails or if the burn does not clear.
Why Chain Vaping Burns a Coil
Cotton refills by capillary action, which takes seconds rather than instants. Puff again before it has caught up and the coil fires against dry cotton. Do that five or six times in a row and you can char a brand new device in under a minute.
The fix is spacing. Roughly a minute between draws is enough on every IGET, and it costs you nothing because shorter, better-fed puffs deliver more flavour anyway.
Long Draws and Burnt Hits
A long pull keeps the coil hot for longer than the wick can feed it, so the last part of the draw is running drier than the first. Plenty of people who taste burn on every device are simply drawing for too long.

Heat, Cars and Burnt IGETs
Heat thins vape liquid. A device left in a car, a sunny window or a hot pocket ends up with liquid pooling away from the wick, and the first draws after that run dry even though the device is half full.
Let a hot device cool standing upright before you use it. This is also why a burnt taste is more common in summer and why a device that was fine yesterday can taste wrong today.
Why an IGET Bar Plus Pod Tastes Burnt
Pods add one extra cause: a new pod that was clicked on and drawn immediately, before liquid had reached the coil. Fit the pod, leave it a couple of minutes, then start gently.
The upside of the S3 system is that a burnt pod is only a pod. Click a fresh 6000 puff pod on and the base carries on as though nothing happened.
Can a Burnt IGET Coil Be Fixed?
If the burn came from a dry patch and the cotton has not actually charred, resting the device upright can recover it. If the taste stays after a proper rest, the cotton has burned and no amount of waiting brings it back.
On a sealed device that means replacing it. Nothing you can do from the outside reaches the coil, and there is no way to open one safely to try.
How to Avoid a Burnt Hit on the Next One
Short draws, a pause between them, upright storage and no hot cars. That is the whole list, and it works on every model from the Bar 3500 up to the One 12000.
If a device is fading in flavour, that is your cue to reorder rather than to push harder. Pushing a nearly empty device is the single most common way people end their last day on a burnt note.
